3. Unpack the new cartridge and remove protective tape (do not touch the contacts/chip area).
4. Insert the cartridge firmly until it clicks, then close the cover.
5. Print a test page/nozzle check if prompted to confirm alignment.

• Run a Nozzle Check to identify which color is affected.
• Use the printer’s built-in Head Cleaning once, then re-check the nozzle pattern.
• If needed, repeat cleaning one more time (avoid many cycles back-to-back to reduce ink waste).
• Make sure you’re using the correct paper type and normal quality settings for clearer output.
• If the printer sits unused often, print a small color page weekly to reduce clogging risk.

• Connection: confirm Wi-Fi/USB is stable and the printer is set as default.
• Ink/Nozzle: run a nozzle check; blank pages often indicate clogged nozzles or air in the line.
• Queue: clear stuck print jobs and restart the printer and computer.
• Settings: verify the correct printer is selected and paper size matches your tray.
• Next step: do one head cleaning cycle, then test print again.

Refilling is possible for some cartridge types, but it can be messy and may cause overfilling, leaks, or inconsistent results. If you want predictable everyday printing, most shoppers choose a ready-to-use compatible cartridge that matches the exact printer model.
